Boyd Hello Santas,
Last fall I was so glad that I was sent to the Clubhouse. I had spent the past few years in a horrible bird cage with people who rarely fed us. I also had a huge tumor bleeding on my neck. They sold me to a family who then contacted the rescue as they didn't have the money to get me and my friend the help we needed. She just knew she could not leave us with that prior family. She wasn't even sure our names but asked the rescue for help. My buddy, Dream, was blind and we were 8 years old by then. Bounced home to home and my neck hurst so much. We got to the Clubhouse and my doctor removed the growth on my neck along with treating me for adrenal disease. We finally got a place that was clean and tons of food. Sadly Dream has passed but I am hanging in there. I live in the section called Pooptopia, where we are not punished for having accidents. Which, at my age, happens more often then I like. I hope you all have a great holiday and huge your furbabies.
Love from Boyd

"Sammy’s Clubhouse is the only ferret rescue that serves Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho (sometimes Montana). We do our best but we need support from the community to keep going. We are fortunate that the online community has stepped forward when the local community has not been able to.
This leaves us in need of medical funds and food for the ever increasing ferrets here. Less than a third of our population are healthy enough to rehome. Most have various issues such as Adrenal Disease, permanently damaged by previous owners, biters and the others with insulinoma or simply old (7 years or older). We really need melatonin implants - which can be purchased from Support Our Shelters at a drastically reduced price (http://supportourshelters.org/ or email sharon@supportourshelters.org). Because of the age of most of our ferrets, they really could use a good dental cleaning which is averaging $175-250 per ferret. Donations can be sent directly to our vet also.

Shelter needs:

We really need melatonin implants - which can be purchased from Support Our Shelters at a drastically reduced price (http://supportourshelters.org/ or email sharon@supportourshelters.org).

For treats the ferrets use 2 large bags of Stella & Chewy duck duck goose freeze dried raw each week. We add Nature’s Variety raw booster – rabbit or chicken in our mix. Or other cat freeze dried raw treats are also good. Please no ferretvite/furovite.

We feed: Totally Ferret Turkey Venison and Lamb (if they are out, we also feed Complete), Dr Tim’s Chase Cat Food, Mazuri Ferret Diet, Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Boost Rabbit or Duck, Zupreem, Marshall Select, Oxbow Feret Diet. Not only do we made soup out of our regular food mix, we use Marshall's Uncle Jim's Duk Soup. We mix Salmon Oil with Furotone for nail trimmings and treats.

If you wish to purchase Totally Ferret Turkey Venison and Lamb, go to http://performancefoodsinc.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3 and place the order with notes that it is for shelter 50-WA-0423 and the shipping directly to our rescue will be free. Make sure to choose ""pick up at store"" during check out.

We go through about 20 pee/puppy pads a day - size 23”x36”.

Thank you for supporting our shelter"
