Brus

Brus Hi Santa,

My name is Brus - I'm the newest kid here at the shelter and also the youngest - I haven't had my first birthday yet.

I'm sorry for not coming out of the carrier for my picture but everytime that woman here gets her hands on me she either gives me bath or icky medicine or makes me stay still so she can pick those nasty ticks off me - she is not any fun at all!

I've only been here a few days - some nice girls (they did not give me baths!) saw me on their university campus trying to make a break to go see what was on the other side of the train tracks - they chased me and caught me (I never did see the other side of the tracks!) and brought me home and gave lots of food and a ball to play with. Then they called this lady who gives me the a bath! A BATH!!!!! I was not dirty!!!

I got nothing of my own - so anything you bring me would be nice. I like these soft beds here and I like blankets to hide in. I sure liked that ball at the girl's house but she did not offer to let me take it with me so now I got no toys....

I think there might be exciting things behind that door in my room - maybe toys and I think I smell other ferrets - maybe I could have friends - I keep trying to make a break for it but so far no good - I promise to send you a report once I sneak past shelter Mom - in the meantime could you tell her no more baths for me?

Luv,

Brus

Like most shelters every penny counts and every gift is put to good use. Gift cards to help with the purchase of cleaning supplies, litter, puppy pads and food are always welcome. Much of our bedding especially our tray and shelf covers are showing signs of age, wear and too many little accidents so they would be particularly treasured items. While we encourage the ferrets to share with each other while they are here every gift made to a specific ferret is carefully noted so when that ferret finds his / her forever home they can leave with not only the necessities to see them through a transition to a new home but with their own treasured possessions to remind them that they are loved and cherished.
