Estee Dear Santa,

My name is Estee and I have been here at the shelter for a little over two years. I don't understand why no one wanted to give my sister Gladys and I a furever home and I think it made my sister so sad she just decided to go live at the Bridge instead.

I miss her very much - so much I stopped playing and eating properly so shelter Mommy brought be to a special house where there is a foster mom that stays home all the time and plays with us - it is very hard to stay sad all the time when there is always someone talking to you and playing games! I even dug a hole in the couch and no one yelled or anything.... I wonder what game I can think up next! Shelter Mommy visits every week to see how i am doing and to bring treats for me and my new friends.

There are lots of other ferrets here and we play lots of stealing and stashing games - could you bring me a few toys to add to the pile? We also get to run wherever we want and some ferrets (I'm not telling who - that would be mean) make messes - some extra pee pads would help keep our house pretty.

And Santa.... if I promise to share - maybe a little bit of Ferretone? We all love it and it helps make medicine better for the sick kids.

Thank you Santa - I know you read these because last year you brought beautiful presents for Gladys (she shared them with me because we shared everything!). If you could when you are flying through those stars could you stop for a minute at the Bridge to say hello and tell her how much I miss her and that I am taking extra special care of her favourite sleep sack.

Please Send Gifts to:
Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa
Like most shelters every penny counts and every gift is put to good use. Gift cards to help with the purchase of cleaning supplies, litter, puppy pads and food are always welcome. Much of our bedding especially our tray and shelf covers are showing signs of age, wear and too many little accidents so they would be particularly treasured items. While we encourage the ferrets to share with each other while they are here every gift made to a specific ferret is carefully noted so when that ferret finds his / her forever home they can leave with not only the necessities to see them through a transition to a new home but with their own treasured possessions to remind them that they are loved and cherished.
