Hi guys, I’m Mishu, but Mom calls me Legs! I’ve got a lot going on. I originally came to the sanctuary to be babysat with my brother Milo. My original owner told my sanctuary Mom that I had a weak ankle and not to be alarmed when she saw me. What he didn’t tell her was that I had a few strokes that left my back end pretty weak and almost paralyzed. I also was diagnosed with Insulinoma. For a while, I was pretty touch and go with my health. My original owner ended up surrendering me to my sanctuary Mom. I was medicated for Insulinoma, and Mom woke me up every two hours to eat, and I did water therapy with her for quite a while too. I have some control over my back legs now. It’s still tricky to get my balance, but I manage better now than I ever did before! Even though I struggle to get around, I still love to play! I love shakey eggs, rope toys, tennis balls, and small stashing toys. I also really love eating! Soupies and Stella & Chewy’s FDR are the best things! My favorite beds are hammocks, especially the soft fuzzy ones. I love soft fuzzy blankets too!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from me and all of my fuzzy friends! Thank you so much! We are a self funded private rescue/sanctuary in New Hampshire. Our current residents come from all over New England. Some came to us sick and old, and others healthy in large groups. We make sure to never separate bonded groups who come in so no one looses who they love. We go through supplies rapidly with the number of noodles in our care, and finances are always tight. Thank you so much for anything and everything, we couldn’t keep this going without the love and support we get during this time of year from the ferret community.
