Woody Hey Santa,

Woody here Santa! I'm another new kid around here. I was out on a walkabout having a big adventure when some men spotted me. I ran to hide in a shed and found a really neat hidey hole in a woodpile but those men kept watching the door and I couldn't get out to finish my adventure. I figured I would wait them out because I heard them talking and they were scared of me (amused dooks) then this lady comes into the shed, reaches into the wood pile and picks me up - then she gives me a kiss and tells me how handsome I am (I am a good lucking manfert if I do say so myself). I decided it was okay to go home with her since she was so smart - those guys still can't believe she kissed me!

When she brought me home she put me in a little room - it had beds and toys and food but I could smell something.... a little head peeked out of the far corner..... It was my little sister! Now we are together again and shelter Mom says that is forever!

Shelter Mom says that I am all boy and all FERRET (of course - what else could I be?). I love to run and jump and chase and dook and dance and I especially love tunnels and rubber and plastic things and krinkly things. I like to steal and stash them - that's how I got my shelter nickname - "Runs with Scissors" - those rubber handles were irresistible but Mom took them away from me!

I have everything a ferret could need Santa but maybe a bed Hallie and could share and have for our very own so when we find our forever home we can take it with us - I think that would be really nice.

That's my story Santa.... oh wait a minute - Hallie says to tell you I have excellent pottie habits too - I'm not sure why she thinks that is important but if it makes her happy I'll tell you that too.

Dooks and kisses.

Please Send Gifts to:
Ferret Rescue Society of Ottawa
Like most shelters every penny counts and every gift is put to good use. Gift cards to help with the purchase of cleaning supplies, litter, puppy pads and food are always welcome. Much of our bedding especially our tray and shelf covers are showing signs of age, wear and too many little accidents so they would be particularly treasured items. While we encourage the ferrets to share with each other while they are here every gift made to a specific ferret is carefully noted so when that ferret finds his / her forever home they can leave with not only the necessities to see them through a transition to a new home but with their own treasured possessions to remind them that they are loved and cherished.
