Cid is 7 years old and came into our rescue alone, but while at the rescue he quickly bonded with Larry, who was of a similar age and temperament. At the rescue it was determined because of Cid’s age and health problems he was ‘unadoptable’ so he and Larry together were sent to live with a foster family who would love and care for them for the remainder of their days. Unfortunately, Larry’s days were numbered much less than Cid’s. Larry has left to the big ferret heaven in the sky, and Cid has had no choice but to adjust. He snuggles with other ferrets in the home, but none seem to measure up quite the way Larry did. Cid has been with his foster family for about two years now and his age is somewhere around 7 years old. He is adrenal and gets a monthly injection of Lupron. He also suffers from insulinoma which requires medication twice daily to stabilize his blood sugar levels. His daily meds are mixed with a soup and Cid never misses a meal! He’s a strong sleeper and barely notices the hustle and bustle going on around him until it’s meal time, then he’s up and making darn sure he doesn’t get missed.
Santa Cid has asked if you would please send him some snuggly warm blankets, hammocks, sleep sacks, and any toys that might help put some spunk back in him. Also he would love some yummy Pickled Ferrets Pickle Juice.
Santa please special mark his name on his package so he knows which one is his to open.
