Daisy Mae came to us after someone treated her inhumanely and threw her away in a dumpster (112° day). She was so red that we thought she was a cinnamon. While our Rescue was keeping her under observation and tending to her parasites, burned skin, dehydration & a broken heart; I was praying for her to pull through. I couldn’t wait to meet her and to introduce her to a whole new world where she mattered.
Today, she is a beautiful chunky little sable. She follows me like my shadow making sure that I’m still where she left me. She’s on alert every time I get up or move around…of course, she immediately follows. Although I soak up all of her love and attention, we all know, it’s a form of separation anxiety that ferrets often get once they’ve been moved around or weren’t loved. Now, she thinks that I’m her’s and keeps me in her sights. ❤️
Her favorite nap spots are enclosed (safe)structures, her favorite toys are tiny squeaky toys that she can easily carry and hide from her sister
