Pheebs is a beautiful, elderly lady who is still filled with grace and energy. She loves playing with the younger and older ferrets alike, and has taken over as the alpha of her group when Angel passed away.
She would love to have some funds go into the rescue's GivingTuesday campaign until end of the year, or some crinkle toys from our wishlist to share with her friends.
The focus of our rescue was always meant to be on domestic mink, with only some ferrets on the sideā¦ instead we consistently have a small army of ferrets who require care and are unlikely to ever be adopted out, as most are elderly, or have health issues. We are the contact at the Humane Society of Utah and one of only 2 rescues for the entire state and intake ferrets from surrounding states when necessary too.
Our rescue has had to halt and even waitlist current surrenders, because we are beyond capacity and funds for those we care for and do not wish to do the injustice of being unable to provide for those already in our care by taking on the impossible. It absolutely breaks our hearts when we have to turn anyone away, because we would love to help these poor souls and as can be read in some of the profiles, for some it really is a matter of life or death.
Please help us to continue our mission of saving as many lives possible, of being the source of a full belly, of a warm bed, of a tender touch, of being the arms to hold them at the end of their journey and offer them a peaceful crossing.
The rescue spends thousands monthly on food, litter, vet care, and sanitation supplies. A large portion of this comes from our personal pockets with only my husband working full-time, while I run the rescue and raise our daughters.
Donations are tax-deductible!
