Koala

Koala My name is Koala. I have lived here for a long time, just cause I still have "poofers". I don't understand why some humans don't like my poofers, shelter mom thinks I'm beautiful anyway. I would sure like some new stuffy toys to hide. Just when I get them chewed just the way I like them, shelter mom throws them out! I've been a really, really good girl this year.

NAFAR doesn’t usually ask for help, preferring that the neediest have a good Christmas. This year has been especially tough for our shelter with the loss of the last of our foster homes, and even though we’ve downsized, we still have 18-20 ferrets being cared for at any given time. The majority of our kids are 5 and older. Most have hospital and medication bills and receive annual Suprelorin implants, so donations to our hospital account are gratefully and much appreciated. Our hospital staff are happy to take donations over the phone (928-537-2880).

In addition, we can always use bedding for Ferret Nation cages (playpen sheets and shelf covers especially), pee pads (washable/reusable or disposable), cozy washable beds and new crocheted eggs (we’re out  ).

We hope all the Giving Tree Santas are richly blessed for the love and support they show to homeless animals year after year.
