Fat Boy

Fat Boy This gorgeous Santa ferret didn't always look so plush. He was desperately sick and so frail. His foster family nursed him around the clock, keeping him right nearby so he could be tended. He had 3 close calls where foster mom and our vet were not sure he would make it. It took six months to get him back to full health. What a strong soul! And an awesome and dedicated foster mom. Now look at him, all fat and sassy! He has insulinoma and is adrenal. Since his recovery, he's become a bit of a tyrant in the ferret room. For Christmas he would love some plush blankets and cuddle cups because he really hates to share with the others. Santa, would you please mark any packages sent to the rescue with Fat Boy's name? It helps with the sanity of the rescue mom. ;) Thank you <3

We house roughly 50 in our shelter currently, and over 60 in a network of foster homes. Millie Sanders has been running this rescue for 23 years and currently it's the only ferret rescue left in operation in Texas. We're saving lives, as many as we can; finding forever homes for our thieving friends. Thank you for helping our rescue and our ferrets have a warm and bright Christmas!
