Ty

Ty This is Ty, An older ferret that has poor vision and spends a lot of the time sleeping. He is no longer the active ferret that he used to be as he prefers a good warm sleep spot to climbing and getting into things like he used to do. He now lives in a room full of other ferrets since he lost his companion and cage mate who he was closest to. Although he came into the shelter as a lone ferret he definitely likes the companionship of other ferrets....especially the girl ferrets, when he is up and feeling well he follows the girls that are in the room around in a manner that often gets him in trouble as he will not leave them alone.

He does have a bunch of medical issues, and is on lupron shots due to hair loss on his tail and patches of missing hair on his shoulders and body, he also has had problems with re-occuring bladder infections. One of the best parts of Ty's day is soup time! He gets soupies 2x daily with his meds and he very much loves his soupies. After eating he loves to wipe his face, and possibly his whole body, by rooting around and under the potty pads and blankies that are in the room. When he has the energy he makes the most of his time tunneling under the pads and blankies, often leaving the whole room a disaster by knocking over anything and everything that is sitting on top of the pads and blankies that he is tunneling under.
Free to roam in the ferret room he might use a hammock occasionally but is more likely to be found curled up in a warm sleep sack with some of his friends.
