I no know why I can’t see one eye or why I no walk like other friends here. Rescue mom – she tell you…. Rescue mom here. July 23, 2018 we see an ad on Craigslist for two 6 month old ferrets where one “recently had a bad fall from the previous owner so is blind in one eye and a we think little slow mentally …….slow and shakey but will get away from you if unattended too long…” We reach out to the owner to provide a safe place and medical attention for the one that "fell". They were unable to sell them before running out of food and, per the owner “…can't afford to buy more right now”, so we got them on July 31. The owner stated she had her collar on and the cage fell of a dresser. She hung by her collar for hours before anyone got home to rescue the girls. Both girls have had severe trauma. Scarlett did not break her neck but damaged it so severely she will never be able to walk normally. Her inner ear drum was blown as well as forming a cataract on her eye. She will never regain her sight nor have full motor control again. Any gifts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
