Hi friends, my first name is George, but Mumma calls me her Georgie-girl, GG or Georgina. My first owner didn’t know that I was a girl. My old owner left me with a “babysitter” when I was only a couple months old, and then my old owner blocked the babysitter, and never came back for me. I still don’t know why she didn’t want me. But with the darkness, came the light. I found my new Mumma at the sanctuary, and I’m glad I did. My new Mumma told me a story of how she had a lot of elder noodles that had crossed the famous Rainbow Bridge and left this world. She said that I came into her life at the perfect time and reminded her of what rescuing is all about. She told me that with a lot of loss, comes lots of happy moments. She also told me that some of the older noodles that are still here really like my youthful spirit, and they like when I play with them, even in their older years. She said that sometimes a youthful spirit keeps the older noodles playing and active! I’m definitely that youthful spirit, and I work hard to live up to that roll! Mumma’s counting on me!
As for me… I really like playing and dooking with my friends here. We all enjoy our daily soupie time! Mumma takes our dry kibble blend, pure chicken bone broth, and cooked chicken and blends it all together for an amazing soupie for everyone. I’ve watched some of the older noodles get a few extra things put into their soupies for their old age and ailments to help them get the calories they need. Mumma says I get plenty of calories with the diet I get. (Sometimes I understand why my first owner thought I was a boy, because I’m a really big girl! Even my new Mumma was surprised at how big of a girl I was when she first met me when I was a baby. I’m a stalky girl, but that’s okay too!) Some of my favorite things include food, shakey eggs, extra small stuffed animals to stash, sleeping bags to tunnel through, big tunnels, and slides- yes, slides!
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Much Love, Georgie- Girl/GG/Georgina <3
We are a self funded private rescue/sanctuary in New Hampshire. Our current residents come from all over New England. Some came to us sick and old, and others healthy in large groups. We make sure to never separate bonded groups who come in so no one looses who they love.
We go through supplies rapidly with the number of noodles in our care, and finances are always tight. Thank you so much for anything and everything, we couldn’t keep this going without the love and support we get during this time of year from the ferret community. There are about 20 ferrets here that this very well might be their last Christmas, so we make sure everyone gets to play with and enjoy the gifts that are received!
