Bruce came to our hospice after being returned to the store for severe biting several times. A lovely couple reached out for help for him before a worse fate happened. Bruce no longer bites and loves to nip butts for play and loves playing with all his siblings. He certainly is a fireball, who doesn't take no for an answer. He loves playing with things that bounce around and make noises. He loves things he can pull on and try to break specifically bungee like toys. Especially if you can hang it from the ceiling. But when it comes time to wind down for the night/day he will be your best friend to cuddle with. Our little carpet shark has learned over the years, that hands are friends not food!
He eats totally ferret turkey, venison, lamb kibble. and Marshalls premium ferret food. He also does eat soupie
with stella and chewy either the duck, chicken or rabbit.
They also use, X-Large puppy pads, crumble paper news litter, cleaning supplies. Our kids all love rubber duckies, and crochet eggies, and Kong toys. We also can always use "Rainbow bridge blankets". These are small baby receiving blankets that we use for wrapping them in when we take them in to be helped to the bridge, or if they pass at the hospice, we will wrap their bodies in these rainbow bridge blankets to escort their remains to the vet, and once the blanket leaves our hands it gets passed on to the vet office to use on other patients who need that little extra love during the healing process. The blankets will continue to live on to care for many various animals.
**At this time due to the nature of our rescue, we can not accept used items. Most of the ferrets in our care are ill, or have sicknesses or on medication that lower their immune system leaving them susceptible to many things.**
