All of our kiddos are very specific to care. They stay in flat beds, no hammocks. They must use puppy pads throughout the whole cage due to some of the elders and some of the past injured (previous homes) being unable to fully control their bowels, so we accommodate to their needs. This is not a place they go to die. A hospice, is a place they come to celebrate the life lived and retire peacefully with specialized individual care. They are given bucket lists at the end stages that we help check off, as we go about our daily routines. We find ways of taking medicine to the next level and making it as less traumatic as possible. We provide them with end of life care, and care through out the remainder of their life, by also building a special bond between our vet and each ferret we have. So it is not a scary new experience every time they go in and they see familiar faces. We put all of our heart and soul into our hospice, and wouldnt change it for the world. We love each of them individually.
Our Hospice can always use food, puppy pads, paper towels, q tips, litter, trash bags, odoban, simple green cleaner, empty spray bottles, stella and chewy(rabbit, duck or chicken) Germ guardian filters, Laundry detergent, vacuums, bandit treats, Nbone treats, Lock crocks for the cages, rectangle litter boxes, and OUR BIGGEST NEEDS ARE FOOD, PUPPY PADS and PAPER TOWEL.
