Freya

Freya Freya came to us about 4 years ago, as the rescuer was unable to keep them much longer, since she was not the type of rescue that could provide for an exotic animal. She has been an amazing little lady for many years now with us. Over the past 2 years she developed adrenal disease, which then awakened ocular lymphoma. This will most likely be her last Christmas as the lymphoma is spreading and beginning to get worse. She is still playing, eating, and it is not quite slowing her down as much as youd expect, but ocular lymphoma sadly is a tough combat, but treatment is keeping it stable. Freya, as of now enjoys eating soup as often as she can. She also really has a ton of fun playing with a bouncing toy that makes noises. She is partially deaf and partially blind in both eyes. Worse eye sight in the left eye. She eats totally ferret turkey, venison, lamb kibble. and Marshalls premium ferret food. She also does eat soupie
with stella and chewy either the duck, chicken or rabbit.
They also use, X-Large puppy pads, crumble paper news litter, cleaning supplies. Our kids all love rubber duckies, and crochet eggies, and Kong toys. We also can always use "Rainbow bridge blankets". These are small baby receiving blankets that we use for wrapping them in when we take them in to be helped to the bridge, or if they pass at the hospice, we will wrap their bodies in these rainbow bridge blankets to escort their remains to the vet, and once the blanket leaves our hands it gets passed on to the vet office to use on other patients who need that little extra love during the healing process. The blankets will continue to live on to care for many various animals.

**At this time due to the nature of our rescue, we can not accept used items. Most of the ferrets in our care are ill, or have sicknesses or on medication that lower their immune system leaving them susceptible to many things.**
