Mirror came to our hospice, after we recieved a message about a female young ferret, that was returned several times to a pet store for vicious biting. These facts standed to be true. She bites and bites and bites, and we love and love and love her with a passion. It has been almost 2 years now since she has come to us, and her biting has not changed one bit. She doesnt go out of her way to chase you down and bite you, but if you get close enough shell get`chaya. She is still young, but her ways may not ever change. She is deaf which is of course not very helpful to the situation. We continue to work with her, and give nothing but love in return. Mirror LOVES every toy you can think of. But her absolute favorites are rubber duckies. She also enjoys balls that she is able to grab a bite onto, to carry around. She eats totally ferret turkey, venison, lamb kibble. and Marshalls premium ferret food. She also does eat soupie
with stella and chewy either the duck, chicken or rabbit.
They also use, X-Large puppy pads, crumble paper news litter, cleaning supplies. Our kids all love rubber duckies, and crochet eggies, and Kong toys. We also can always use "Rainbow bridge blankets". These are small baby receiving blankets that we use for wrapping them in when we take them in to be helped to the bridge, or if they pass at the hospice, we will wrap their bodies in these rainbow bridge blankets to escort their remains to the vet, and once the blanket leaves our hands it gets passed on to the vet office to use on other patients who need that little extra love during the healing process. The blankets will continue to live on to care for many various animals.
**At this time due to the nature of our rescue, we can not accept used items. Most of the ferrets in our care are ill, or have sicknesses or on medication that lower their immune system leaving them susceptible to many things.**
